My name is Charlie Kaine, Jr. and I am a freelance photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area specializing in wedding photography, engagement photography, and fashion photography.

The only reason I got into photography to impress my then girlfriend (now wife) who, at the time, was studying film production at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.  I just finished my college football career at San Jose State and suddenly had more free time. I enrolled in YouTube University and taught myself how to use a camera as well as how to edit in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Along with falling in love with my future wife, I fell in love with capturing moments in time with a camera.

Truth be told, she would have married me even without the new photography skills I picked up, but I'm glad I made the decision to transition my passion from sports to the arts.

We have been married since 2011 and now have our first baby boy (Charlie III). I often look back at my own wedding photos, and I can remember the smell of the perfume my wife wore, the music that was playing, and the butterflies that were in my stomach.  Pictures are supposed to bring you back to those precious moments in time.

I believe strongly in family legacy and I think about my future grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will one day see my wedding photos when I am long gone and I want them to be able to see the love that my wife and I have for each other through the story told by our photos.

I strive to provide that same feeling for so many other couples and families who hire me to document their events and important moments in life. Hiring a wedding photographer can be hard, so you want to make sure whoever you choose is someone you will feel comfortable spending your entire wedding day with. As a wedding photographer, you will see me in the morning as you put your makeup on, all the way through the evening as you dance the night away and ride off in your limo. You want to make sure that you choose somebody that not only can take great photos but will be a delight to be around all day. I think I am that person, and I can't wait to meet you!

Contact me today to introduce yourself, I'd love to work with you.
