Today is International Women's Day, and in the spirit of this day I'd like to first honor the women in my life who have helped make me the man I am today. Starting off with my Mom who somehow put up with me even during my rambunctious teen years, and my financially deficient college years; who now is still the most loving, caring, and compassionate woman that I know. I had the privilege of growing up with three amazing sisters, Bessie, Charlene, and Beverly. Now this was not always a privilege for me, as I was picked on and ganged up on many times! But I credit my sisters for teaching me how to respect women, and how to even be in touch with my feminine side without feeling less of a man.
And finally, my wife of almost 5 years is the most incredible, beautiful, and strong woman that I know. She makes me strong, and complements all my weaknesses (which are many). Thankfully my wife was raised by an amazing woman, my mother-in-law Terrie Williams. My wife also has an awesome twin Angelica, an older sister Prelle, and a younger Krystal. And of course I can't ever forget all the amazing Aunties that I have all around the world!
I'd like to honor her, and all the women in this world that help to make this a better place. If it were left up to men, this world would have been completely destroyed by now, so thank you women for keeping us boneheaded men in check.
