This past Sunday at around 3:20 am, Napa County residents were violently awakened by a magnitude-6.0 earthquake. The epicenter of that earthquake was about 9 miles south of Napa and was felt throughout the surrounding Bay Area. My wife and I, who live in San Francisco, were also awoken by the earthquake.
In the days since the earthquake, more and more damage is being reported, and there have been more than 150 injured people receiving treatment. Most people only know Napa for having beautiful wineries, which is true. But there is an entire community of residents and business owners who are left literally and figuratively picking up the pieces.
After the earthquake I was reminded of my first visit to Napa with my wife on Valentines Day weekend of this year. I had not yet posted any photos, but I decided to do so now to help show how beautiful a place Napa is, and also to raise awareness on how you can help the earthquake victims.
